CC: I Cried a River

Being an emotional and sensitive person, I cry when hubby and I have misunderstandings. I cry when I feel like I am failing as a mother to my son. I cry when I miss my parents and siblings. I cried an ocean when we lost our first child to stillborn and still cry every time I think of her, and every time I see an eight year old girl playing with her young brother.

Anyway, since this topic is for couple only. I'll say that I cried a river during the first few weeks of our marriage. We were still in the period of adjustment then. You can imagine how hard it was for us...for we didn't spend a lot of times getting to know each other in person. Online courting is a lot different than in person. We met through internet...and it was really different when we finally live together under one roof. Things like differences in opinions, the way we were raised, and etc...needs a lot of understanding, patience and compromising, and most of all love. But those days are all over now (thanks goodness!)....and all part of the history. This is my share on....

On Being Prepared

I know that we (collectively) have been stunned by the news of the earthquake and resulting tsunami that took place a couple of days ago in Japan. And it is still of course affecting the coastlines of countries all up and down the Pacific Ocean. What has really struck me is the isolation that many throughout the country of Japan have experienced as a result of roads breaking up and power, phone, and water lines being broken or at the bare minimum, disrupted.

Why do I bring this up? I bring it up because it further reinforces what our church leaders have been telling us for years and years--we need to be prepared with emergency water, food, first aid supplies, cleaning/sanitation supplies and if possible, a bit of fuel. Even if you only use the water when a water main is broken or your water gets turned off so that something related to your plumbing can be fixed, it will give you peace of mind (and a way to have something to drink or flush the toilet with). Same with your other supplies.

To paraphrase something that our prophet Joseph Smith shared with us...
"if ye are prepared ye shall not fear."

Pink Friday: My iPhone

My entry for this week is the OtterBox Black/Pink Commuter Case 3 layers protection for my iphone. The OtterBox Commuter case is a semi-rugged, fully interactive case with 3 layers of protection. It's protection without the bulk. The exposed silicone corners dissipate impact away from the device and the smooth outer layer allows the case to easily slide into your pocket or purse. All buttons are fully functional through the case and the audio jack and charge port are accessible through silicone plugs.

The whole thing with the holster. Anyway, pardon me for I didnn't clean it yet, that is why it looks a little bit messy, lol! Join us by clicking the badge below!

Fashionable Accessories

Lately, I have been finding myself liking the accessories such as set of earring and necklace. I used to hate it, but for some reason, I started liking it when a friend of mine gave me a necklace she made. She actually sell these stuffs online, but she gave me one, free! And since beads are not that expensive at all; I heard. I consider making my own accessories myself, that way I'll be able to save and at the same time make them the way I want and they will coordinate with the clothes I'll be wearing. Now, I need to look online where they sell beading supplies for a cheaper price. I have plenty of time to make some earring and necklace for my nieces back home. I am pretty sure they will love it! Anyway, I have few collections of earring and necklaces given by friends and some of them I bought at a gift shop in the hospital. I love wearing them!

CC: Is It Over?

Aside from monthly period, the medications I am taking everyday makes me act different. What I meant is that I am not myself (as hubby tells me every time). I get annoyed and irritated so easily. Small things can turn into a big problem. As one of my nurse said "hubby calls me a bitch." When I have that moment... I can be a bitch at times, too, lol! When I became bad....I am really, really bad! With a hubby like I have who is very patient, understanding and forgiving...you can imagine how bad can I be that he almost gave up on me one time; he even told me that "he can't take it anymore! He didn't think it will happen to us.....but it seems like it was happening. Oh no!...it can't be happening! I thought it was over. I was so scared! I didn't say I thing for a moment...but later on apologized. I was crying...he was crying, too when we were talking. That was the longest serious talked we have even had. Since then, I try very hard to control my temper...it is hard but I have to for the sake of our marriage....and our son!
