Thankful Thursday - The Voice of God!

This is the first time I joined the: Thankful Thursday" meme and I am already liking it because I can voice out what I am thankful for for this week. The host of this month's meme is no other that Lynn of Spiritual Unequal Marriage. This week's theme is "The Voice of God".

I have so much to be thankful for, to God who has blessed me with everything I need to be happy in this life. I thanked HIM for giving me a loving husband and adorable son, who are my pride and joy! I thanked God for the life that I have now, for his protection and guidance. He has been there for me ever since I put my Faith in HIM, he listens every time I talk to HIM in prayer. I can always fell His presence every time I need HIM. He always answers my prayer through the still small voice...through other people...through reading the scriptures and through listening to the prophet's voice. I am glad to know that I can talk to Him and He will always answers my pleading.

Father, I have held onto this thing. I have heard you say, “Cecile (insert your name), get rid of it. I will wait as long as it takes.” Oh Father, let today be that day. I want to be part of your plan this summer. I want to see new horizons and the fantastic surprises you have waiting for me. Father, today, I surrender it to you. Do not let me ever take it back. Bind the enemy who will tempt me and protect me from this sin. When I feel weak, God surround me with the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit. I ask all this in the powerful name of Jesus, my Redeemer. Amen.

Ways to Build a Strong Testimony

How can we gain and maintain the foundation needed to survive spiritually? May I offer three guidelines to help.

1. Prayer. When we remember that each of us is literally a spirit daughter or son of God, we will not find it difficult to approach HIM in prayer. He knows us; He loves us; He wants what is best for us.

2. Scriptures. Spending time each day in scripture will strengthen our foundations of faith and our testimonies of truth.

3. Service. There are others who need you help. In the Book of Mormon we read of noble kKing Benjamin. He declared: "When ye are in the service of you fellowmen beings, ye are only in the service of your God" (Mosiah 2:17).

We can fortify our foundation of faith,our testimonies of truth, so tat we will not falter, we will not fail.

Stake Conference Experienced...

We had a very nice and spiritual experienced yesterday when we went to church. Well, I say always, but this time is different because it was a two hour long of listening to church leaders such as Stake President, Auxiliary leaders, Temple President and his wife and of course, a member of the Seventy, Elder Eyring. I think he is related to President Eyring who is the Second Counselor in the First Presidency. Anyway, the talks given includes: Prayer, Young Men and the Aaronic Priesthood, Church attendance every Sunday, temple attendance, primary children and leaders, ... We were glad that Jacob were so behave! This is one of the things I love about him; he loves going to church and attending his class during sunday school and sharing time. He also loves watching church video and like to become a Nephite warrior like Ammon. I hope he would continue to feel that way and would gain his own testimony instead of a borrowed testimony. Anyway, I am always amaze how the talks given inspired me to be better person and a good example to my son both in words and deeds. Right now, he teaches us these principles: patience, humility, obedience, long suffering and charity. How he interacts with us makes us realized how much we need to improve ourselves in keeping God's commandments every minute of our lives. He is a perfect example of what kind of person God wants each one of His children to be. I love my son so much, though he can be handful at times, but he is just a kid...and kid needs to be kid!

When you think of love, you think of committing to one person for the rest of your life. In love, you see things how they could be. You are wrapped up in your own dreams. If you are in love, you like to keep it a secret for a while. It feels more special that way. You are somewhat patient in love. You can wait for the right person, but once you have found the right one, you're very impatient.
